Blue Note Therapeutics Sponsors the APOS Jimmie Holland Lifetime Achievement Award
Blue Note Therapeutics, a prescription digital therapeutics (PDT) company dedicated to easing the burden of cancer and improving outcomes, announced sponsorship of the American Psychosocial Oncology Society’s (APOS) Jimmie Holland Lifetime Achievement Award. The award will be presented at the virtual APOS Annual Conference taking place March 9 through March 11.
The award is the highest honor conferred by APOS and is presented to an APOS member who “best embodies the qualities of leadership and patient-centered care,” a core value of Blue Note Therapeutics. Inspired by Dr. Jimmie Holland, who founded the field of psychosocial oncology and APOS, the award recognizes outstanding contributions to the field, including in leadership, training, research, clinical practice, and service to APOS.
“Dr. Holland’s research taught us that the psychological well-being of cancer patients goes hand in hand with their physical well-being, and should be treated with the same level of care and respect. This understanding is the foundation upon which Blue Note was built,” said Dianne Shumay, PhD, head of behavioral science, Blue Note Therapeutics.
